MEXICO – In a dramatic operation, the National Guard captured two suspects behind recent violence on a notorious highway. The chase ended when authorities blocked their silver-gray car with precision, forcing the suspects to the ground with hands behind their heads.
Neighbors expressed relief. “They acted like they owned the place. Seeing them caught gives us some peace,” said a local trucker. The suspects are linked to attacks on motorcyclists and crimes at unfinished construction sites. Officials reportedly recovered high-caliber weapons, loaded magazines, and radio equipment from the vehicle.
Weeks of intelligence work, survivor testimonies, and careful tracking led to the arrests. The detainees, aged about 30 and 45, were taken into custody without a shot fired. They now face charges including aggravated homicide, possession of military-grade weapons, and criminal conspiracy.
